Boy Meets Girl

It all started on glorious August Seattle day when a lil Irishman and Mexican princess crossed paths at a summer camp. He was a swindling man, trying to sneak some headache medicine past the watchful eye of the camp nurse (aka: the Mexican Medic).  When CAUGHT red-handed had to relinquish his Costco size ibuprofen into the clutches of her corrective hands.  Despite this confiscation, she was ever so intrigued by his ability to command and organize a squirly herd of junior high boys.  You heard it here first, Vanessa first noticed Rob and was curious how this big-grinned, gorgeous geek would surface again into her world.

Coast to Coast

A few months later, Rob left Seattle to seek glory & adventure in Washington DC, thus, beginning the heaps of coast-to-coast emails, chats, and phone calls.  Over this time, we became delightful friends,  and Vanessa was increasingly suspicious of if this could be more than a nice friendship with the Irishman.

She… He… WE!

After three years apart, Rob returned to Seattle where we began to spend more intentional time together.  Our friendship blossomed for another year in Seattle, until in December of 2008, Rob realized that the woman of his dreams had been with him all along, and we officially began dating on a snowy hill top overlooking the Seattle skyline.

The Road to Marriage

The preparations leading up to our wedding on September 7th has been one of the most thrilling seasons of our lives— taking us from Spokane, to Mexico, to Sydney!  We have begun our journey as a he and a she from coast to coast and across seas we journey in a few short weeks to become a “”WE.” ….. to be continued
